The webinar will focus on the work of Bridging Voices' partners at University College London and Yale University, which has been examining the roles that faith plays in supporting social justice for refugees living in Cameroon, Greece, Jordan, Lebanon, Malaysia and Mexico. The project's principal investigators Prof. Elena Fiddian-Qasmiyeh and Prof. Zareena Grewal will give an overview of the project followed by a discussion of the key framing issues led by Prof. Alastair Ager. Then the findings from the various case studies will be discussed by Prof. Catherine Panter-Brick and the third Principal Investigator Prof. Unni Karunakara. The presentation will be followed by a conversation facilitated by Frank Fredericks, Executive Director at World Faith, which focuses on the project's key findings and policy implications.
With the generous support of the Henry Luce Foundation and the Friends of the British Council, the Bridging Voices webinar series is designed to facilitate the presentation of research and findings from the three projects of the second iteration of the Bridging Voices programme to a critical academic and policy maker audience.
