The Forefront Webinars Series is brought to you by Alzheimer's Society & Dementia Researcher. In each webinar consists of two sessions, one from an Alzheimer's Society funded Researcher presenting their work, and an essential careers sessions to keep you at the forefront of your field. Loukia Minetou, University of Stirling - Narrative Design for Dementia Care: exploring space as a storytelling companion. Loukia will give a brief introduction on design for dementia care homes & discuss the importance of co-designing with and for people living with dementia, family members & care home staff. Supportive design can reduce agitation, anxiety, confusion and depression, as well as stimulate happiness & enhance wellbeing for people living with dementia.
Dr Lovesha Sivanantharajah, Bangor University - Research and Parenthood: Finding Balance. Lovesha shares her thoughts and experiences relating to the challenges of finding a healthy balance between Research and Parenthood (especially during a pandemic).
